Built in Melbourne for the Oceanic scene
NovaBladeEmpire started in a St Kilda garage in 2019 with one goal: give Oceanic players a competitive blade-fighter that respects ping and rewards mechanics over grind. Every match runs on 128-tick regional servers hosted in Sydney and Melbourne.
The netcode uses rollback with a 3-frame input buffer, so a duel in St Kilda against an opponent in Perth feels the same as one across the room. No pay-to-win — cosmetics only. Ranked resets seasonally and every rank is earned on the ladder.
- Rollback netcode · 3-frame buffer · 128-tick servers
- Cosmetics-only economy — zero gameplay purchases
- Free ranked play, cross-region matchmaking Oceania-wide

From the ladder and the LAN floor
Came from fighting games with garbage Oceanic ping. NBE's rollback is the first time a blade-fighter felt fair from Perth. Hit Nova Elite in Season 10 and the LAN nights got me my first sponsor.
Tyler R. · Perth, WANova Elite · verified Feb 2026The coaching bootcamp fixed my neutral in three sessions. My coach frame-stepped my replays and showed exactly where I was mashing. Went from Gold to Diamond in one season.
Mei L. · Melbourne, VICDiamond II · verified Jan 2026Run the St Kilda LAN as a regular now. 24 setups, proper casting, actually organised. Beats grinding solo online — you learn faster when you're reading someone across the table.
Jordan K. · St Kilda, VICEmpire Pass holder · verified Mar 2026The spectator client is criminally underrated. I study top-8 ladder matches with the hitbox overlay every morning before work. It's basically free coaching if you know what to look for.
Priya S. · Adelaide, SAPlatinum I · verified Dec 2025Cosmetics-only economy is the whole reason I stayed. No one's buying wins. Every rank on the ladder means something, and the seasonal skins actually look sharp.
Callum W. · Brisbane, QLDNova Elite · verified Feb 2026Servers genuinely never drop. I've played 600+ ranked games this season and hit maybe two disconnects. For an indie Oceanic title that's unreal.
